Description

We’re seeking a Director, Execution & Operations for Citizens Private Bank Marketing: the air traffic controller behind a complex, multi-pillar, very fast growing engine. You’ll own the marketing system’s infrastructure: ensuring work is prioritized, governed, delivered and communicated with discipline across COEs, internal teams and business partners. 

As a strategic partner, you’ll translate goals into actionable initiatives, optimize operations, and enable seamless execution across the department and cross-functional teams. This role is a catalyst for innovation, efficiency and continuous improvement. You’ll operate at the intersection of strategy and execution—optimizing the Private Bank Marketing engine for speed, quality and alignment to business line and enterprise outcomes. 

The position blends marketing operations, portfolio management, executive communications and cross-functional orchestration. 

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4 days in office, 1 day remote 

Locations: New York City, Boston, Westwood MA, San Francisco 


Key Responsibilities

System Operations & Portfolio Management

  • Orchestrate all cross-functional marketing work for Private Bank Marketing across entire Center of Excellence (CoE) portfolio (i.e. – Brand, Content, Events, etc.)
  • Maintain a central workboard (Jira) and lead prioritization cadences with stakeholders and COEs.
  • Own work intake, resourcing, status tracking, and delivery accountability.
  • Define and enforce SLAs with Business Line Marketers, COEs and other internal partners.
  • Build trust and alignment across stakeholders; act as liaison to Legal, Risk, Compliance and other internal teams to ensure initiatives align with regulatory and corporate goals.  

Execution & Delivery Leadership

  • Align resources, streamline processes, anticipate challenges, and remove barriers to drive efficiency across multiple workstreams.
  • Manage and mentor a small delivery team (asset production, Jira, Seismic, LRC coordination, budget ops).
  • Drive operational rigor: minimize rework, eliminate low-value work and ensure asset quality and readiness.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, and team engagement.

Executive Communications & Reporting

  • Develop executive-ready materials on system performance, risks, and business alignment.
  • Prepare summaries, milestone updates, ecosystem audits and quarterly planning reviews.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings with marketing leadership and colleagues, from input gathering to presentation.

Budget & Forecast Management

  • Partner with Finance to manage PB+PW marketing budgets and ensure strategic spend alignment.
  • Own budget communications and forecasting cadence across COEs and business partners.

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with the Head of PB Marketing to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps with clear targets and deliverables.
  • Oversee annual and quarterly planning cycles, budget allocation and performance tracking.
  • Lead high-visibility projects and change management initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness and productivity (i.e. – analytics coordination, team offsites, etc.)

Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years in marketing operations, business operations, or program management within a complex, matrixed environment; preferably in financial services 

  • Strong understanding of modern marketing systems, creative/production workflows, and campaign delivery. 
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into actionable plans, diagnose pain points, and drive teams from good to great. 
  • Skilled in prioritization, resource alignment, and operating rhythms; comfortable with Jira (or similar), agile methodologies and routines, and OKR/planning cadences. 
  • Ability to use data to inform strategy, track performance, and make insights digestible for varied audiences. 
  • Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills; adept at distilling complexity into clear, compelling narratives and strong command of Powerpoint
  • Experience working across multiple functions and influencing without formal authority; strong relationship-building skills. 
  • Serves as a strategic thought partner and confidante to PB Marketing and COE marketing teams; operates with integrity, discretion, and emotional intelligence. 
  • Thrives amid ambiguity, manages multiple projects simultaneously, and maintains meticulous attention to detail. 
  • Committed to fostering engagement and supporting team wellness

Preferred:

  • Experience in financial services, wealth management, or other regulated industries. 

  • Prior senior-level marketing operations leadership experience. 

  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Seismic, Salesforce, and enterprise budget management platforms. 

  • Ability to lead and influence with empathy and humility; skilled at navigating ambiguity, complexity and building consensus. 

  • Curiosity and critical thinking; a lifelong learner who approaches challenges from multiple perspectives.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required

MBA or equivalent experience preferred

  • Hours per Week: 40

Pay Transparency 

The salary range for this position is $154,747.2- $232,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
