Our programs offer the unique opportunity to blend practical experiences, impactful projects, exposure to senior leaders, and comprehensive training designed to build versatile skills, paving the way for a robust career!
Internal Audit Summer Internship Program
In our 10-week Internal Audit Summer Internship program, you'll develop core audit skills from a combination of classroom, group, and on-the-job training with hands-on experiences. You'll be placed on a team that audits key bank products and services (i.e., consumer and commercial loans and deposit products) and supporting functions, such as information technology, finance, and risk management functions. You’ll gain insight into the inner workings of a large financial institution and build skills that'll position you for consideration for the full-time Internal Audit Rotational Program.

What you’ll do.
- Attend meetings with Internal Audit and business line management
- Perform audit activities, such as execution of control testing
- Analyze and interpret testing results
- Prepare workpapers and document test steps and conclusions
- Attend speaker series and training sessions
Where we hire.
Interns will work out of our Johnston, RI office.What you'll get.

Your impact.
This internship provides our early career colleagues with the skills needed to be future leaders. Near the end of the program, you’ll be given early consideration for the Internal Audit Rotational Program; a one-year, full-time development program that provides the opportunity to gain relevant work experience and learn about different areas of the organization by completing three rotations on various audit teams.

Internal Audit Rotational Program
In our 12-month, full-time Internal Audit Rotational Program, you'll participate in robust training with a combination of in-person classroom and group training accompanied by hands-on experiences focused on Internal Audit, bank operations, information technology, and regulatory risk management. You'll start as an Associate Staff Auditor and rotate through three teams that audit key bank products and services (i.e., consumer and commercial loans and deposit products), supporting functions such as information technology, finance, and risk management functions.

What you’ll do.
- Perform various audit activities, including audit engagements, continuous monitoring, and validation of corrective action
- Analyze and interpret (qualitatively and quantitatively) audit data and present findings
- Communicate and build professional relationships
- Execute routine audit test work, prepare workpapers, and document audit conclusions

2026 Internal Audit Rotational Program
We prioritize qualified interns from our Internal Audit Summer Internship program for the Internal Audit Rotational Program. If we have remaining open roles, they will be posted on our career site in late August 2025, or as business needs change.
