Vice President, Senior Business Analyst – Business & Commercial Universal Portal

The VP, Sr. Business Analyst will serve as the strategic business partner and subject matter expert for the Business & Commercial Universal Portal, providing clients with secure, single-sign-on access to commercial banking services and dynamic API-based content. This leader will define and drive the portal’s strategic vision, oversee requirements gathering and business analysis, and ensure delivery of enhancements that align with Citizens’ business objectives and client needs. The role requires close collaboration with product, technology, operations, compliance, and client-facing teams, as well as external partners and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Portal Strategy & Ownership

  • Lead the strategic direction and roadmap for the Business & Commercial Universal Portal, ensuring alignment with commercial banking goals and client requirements.

  • Oversee business analysis for portal enhancements, new features, and integrations, translating business needs into actionable requirements for technology teams.

  • Monitor industry trends (open banking APIs, embedded finance, authentication security, AI) to inform portal strategy and innovation.

  1. Stakeholder Leadership

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, design, marketing, sales, customer service, and compliance teams.

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback, prioritize features, and ensure business objectives are met.

  1. Requirements Management

  • Capture, analyze, and document business requirements for portal content, SSO integrations, and API enablement.

  • Maintain integrity of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring traceability and alignment with business goals.

  • Validate product releases in the different environments (SIT, QA, Prod).

  1. Risk, Compliance & Vendor Management

  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to navigate regulatory and security requirements related to digital banking, APIs, portal content, and SSO.

  • Oversee vendor relationships and ensure third-party solutions meet Citizens’ standards.

  1. Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for portal adoption, client satisfaction, and business impact.

  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback analysis to identify opportunities for portal improvement and differentiation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in business analysis, product management, QA leadership, or IT program leadership within financial services.

  • Proven track record managing large-scale digital platforms or portals.

  • Strong technical background with expertise in authentication security, SSO, MFA, biometrics/passwordless solutions, and open banking APIs.

  • Deep understanding of commercial banking products, operations, and client needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience with agile development methodologies preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with API-based solutions, and portal content management.

  • Familiarity with Citizens’ commercial banking ecosystem and Treasury Solutions.

  • Advanced proficiency in project management.

  • Creative thinking, problem solving, and ability to balance detail orientation with strategic vision.

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40

  • Work Schedule: M-F
