VP- Sr. Product Manager – Commercial Embedded Banking

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic product manager to lead our innovative Commercial Embedded Banking solution ERPConnect. As the driving force behind our product vision, and subject matter expert, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, design, marketing, sales, customer service, and FinTechs, you will scale the Commercial Embedded Banking capability for Citizens while driving continuous innovation & enhanced customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute the ERPConnect strategy for Citizens to keep and grow our client base while improving customer experiences. 
  2. Oversees the integration of information reporting and payment services into non-traditional banking platforms, such as ERPs, TMS, Accounting SW, and third-party apps.
  3. Integrate Fitechs and platforms through the enablement of Citizens and third-party APIs.
  4. Identify opportunities to generate revenue through embedded banking, exploring new business models and pricing strategies.
  5. Identify and execute on Fintech partnerships to establish leadership in this space.
  6. Lead the product development and management of ERPConnect, Citizens embedded banking plug-in solution for selected ERPs and accounting SW. Manage the full product lifecycle, including roadmap, enhancements, and client onboarding.
  7. Foster a culture of innovation and high-performance leading to the development of new and impactful features.

The functions of the role include:

  1. Strategy Development, and Roadmap Management.
  2. Organize technical capacity following Agile methodology.
  3. Roll Out / Product and Customer Readiness (Training Plans, Marketing Plans, Implementation Plans).
  4. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to gather feedback, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  5. Risk / Legal: Collaborate with Risk, Legal and compliance teams to navigate regulatory and security requirements.
  6. Vendor Management.
  7. Marketing: Create compelling collateral and campaigns to promote product commercialization.
  8. Sales and Implementation/Onboarding support.
  9. Product Pricing and Billing.
  10. Team Leadership: Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to foster professional growth and excellence.
  11. Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand use cases, and prioritize feature requests to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  12. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor product performance to drive continuous improvement and achieve business objectives.
  13. Continuous Improvement: Conduct market research, competitor analysis, monitor industry advancements and technological trends to identify opportunities for product improvement and differentiation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (8+ years) implementing online, mobile, embedded banking solutions, or API Banking.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing product strategies.

  • Strong technical, influential, and strategic abilities to help drive the success of our enterprise initiatives.

  • Direct knowledge of industry standards and best practices for open banking API product design, such as Open banking FDX, 2-legged and 3-legged OAuth, ERP Connectors, Account aggregators integrations, API authentication, authorization/entitlements, consent management, etc.

  • Expertise in the delivery, market value, and industry position of a product area.
  • Experience executing in layered, complex organizations with wide range of cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of identifying and executing fintech partnerships.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Solid understanding of commercial banking product, operations, sales, service, and technical practices.

Education, Certification, and/or Other Professional Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Master’s Degree preferred
