We are seeking a versatile and results-driven Principal Delivery and Management Engineer to join our team in building secure, scalable, and compliant enterprise applications. This role will be instrumental in developing solutions that support Anti-Money Laundering (AML) initiatives, governance risk and compliance (GRC), and cloud-native architectures. You will work across a diverse technology stack, contributing to both new application development and modernization of existing systems.
You will serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, manage resource planning, and oversee a team of Archer solution managers. In addition, you will contribute with solution design and configuration to maintain platform integrity and deliver robust, scalable risk management solutions that simplify and automate business processes and risk management activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Oversight & Configuration: Provide guidance on solution architecture, platform configuration, and integration strategies; perform configuration tasks, including workflow design, reporting, dashboards, and data feeds, to ensure robust and scalable implementations.
- Lead Liaison: Act as the primary bridge between business owner and technical teams. Lead discovery sessions with business partners to gather requirements and gain insight into their business processes.
- Strategic Planning & Governance: Manage budgets, timelines and resources; establish governance processes and track KPIs.
- Status Reporting: Provide clear and timely initiative status updates to business owners and senior stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Solution Delivery: Oversee design, development, testing, and deployment of Archer applications; coordinate user acceptance testing and ensure quality standards.Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices using modern frameworks and best practices.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify technical and program risks, implement mitigation strategies, and resolve issues to keep projects on track.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation, process optimization, AI/ML enablement and adoption of best practices within the GRC program.
- Build and deploy scalable applications on AWS and Azure, leveraging services like Lambda, EC2, S3, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps.
- Develop and integrate software solutions for AML/KYC, and regulatory compliance workflows.
- Customize and extend Archer GRC software integrations to support enterprise governance, risk, and compliance initiatives.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ensuring automated testing, secure deployments, and continuous integration.
- Use Bitbucket for version control, code reviews, and branching strategies aligned with Git best practices.
- Contribute to the development of reusable components, shared services, and internal developer platforms to accelerate delivery across teams.
- Ensure applications meet enterprise standards for security, performance, and scalability.
- Work closely with product managers, architects, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in refactoring and replatforming efforts to modernize legacy systems into cloud-native architectures.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and proactively suggest improvements to architecture and processes.
- Configure solutions with custom requirements, recommending ways to streamline processes and create efficiencies.
- Support, troubleshoot, and maintain solutions, taking full ownership from development through production support.
- Work directly with end users and act as a liaison between technical and business teams to ensure solutions meet operational needs.
- Monitor and support production environments, ensuring monthly processes execute efficiently and reliably.
- Apply analytical thinking to resolve issues and improve system performance.
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively in a high-paced, high-production environment.
- Demonstrate independence, initiative, and the ability to facilitate change across teams and systems.
- Work with business users and stakeholders to understand business functions and processes in order to define analytic and reporting requirements, as well as data and metadata needs from internal bank systems and third-party data sources.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of Archer GRC platform capabilities (workflow, reporting, dashboards, data feeds) and ability to guide technical teams; hands-on configuration experience required.
- Risk & Compliance Knowledge: Solid understanding of governance, risk management, and compliance principles.
- 7+ years of experience in software development, preferably in financial services or regulated industries.
- Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, C#.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud services.
- Familiarity with AML/KYC or compliance systems or experience with Archer GRC.
- Experience with Bitbucket or similar Git-based version control systems.
- Experience with SQL for data manipulation and reporting.
- Solid understanding of software security principles and secure coding practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and messaging systems.
- Certifications or experience working in AWS, Azure cloud-based environments.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of data engineering or analytics tools used in fraud detection (e.g., Kafka, Elasticsearch).
Hours & Work Schedule
- Hours per Week: 40
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Hybrid Schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day remote

Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $124,240 – $186,360 per yearplus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
