As a Principal Data Support Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, security, and efficiency of data flows across our wealth management applications. You will be responsible for identifying, investigating, and resolving discrepancies in data transmissions to uphold data quality and integrity. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, critical thinking, and a strong grasp of data transmission and management principles. Success in this position requires a proactive mindset and the ability to navigate both technical and business domains with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze data feeds and application integrations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of data transmissions, application dependencies, and integration points to support transparency, troubleshooting, and audits.
  • Maintain and update documentation: data flow diagrams, feed specifications, interface inventories, transmission schedules.
  • Serve as the data subject matter expert for wealth management applications, validate data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems; establish and monitor reconciliation processes.
  • Lead the design, onboarding, and implementation of new data feeds, coordinating across technical, vendor and business teams.
  • Serve as the central communication point and partner closely with technology teams, business leaders, and external vendors to align requirements, resolve issues, and implement solutions.
  • Execute assigned tasks and self-initiated deliverables with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain clear records of issues, incidents, root cause analysis, and remediation plans.
  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in current processes or tools and suggest or lead improvements (e.g. automation, better reconciliation, improved error reporting).
  • Partner with stakeholders to prioritize enhancements, incident resolution, and project deliverables.
  • Provide clear, consistent communication on issue status, incident trends, and project progress to stakeholders.
  • Work with Information Security, Risk and Compliance teams to review controls, participate in audits or assessments, ensure documentation is sufficient.

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an analytical or data-focused role.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with proficiency in:
  • Excel, SQL, Power BI, Visio, PowerPoint
  • Hands-on experience with data quality tools or data loading processes.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and a proactive approach to solving complex data challenges.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complex information clearly.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work across multiple teams
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous or uncertain environments.

Preferred:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the finance or wealth management industry, particularly within the Securities or Investments industry.
  • Familiarity with data architecture, data stewardship, or database administration concepts.
  • Strong background in incident and issue management, including communication, escalation, and documentation.
  • Prior experience in managing or leading cross-functional projects.
  • Motivation for continuous improvement, especially using agile approaches.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s in Data Analytics or Business Intelligence) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated job history stability 

Hours and Work Schedule

  • Hours Per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (8:00 AM ET – 5:00 PM ET);  4 days in office / 1 day potential work from home
