Description
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Finance Senior Manager to lead financial operations and planning across Consumer Operations, a division of Consumer Banking. This high-impact role is central to driving cost efficiency, long-range planning, and metrics-based decision-making across multiple business lines. The ideal candidate will bring over 10 + years of experience in finance, with a strong foundation in banking operations, financial analysis, strategic finance and cross-functional leadership.
You will be joining a high-impact team supporting Consumer Operations and partnering closely with senior leaders across the organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping financial strategy, improving operational visibility, and mentoring emerging talent. The role will lead a team of 2-3 experienced finance professionals driving impactful results.
Primary responsibilities include
Strategic & Multiyear Planning
- Lead the development of multiyear financial plans with detailed year-over-year comparisons and alignment to macroeconomic scenarios.
- Manage rolling forecast cycles and coordinate with enterprise planning teams to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Support strategic planning efforts by aligning financial goals with operational priorities.
- Align financial goals with operational priorities and transformational initiatives.
Metrics-Driven Decision Making
- Apply advanced financial modeling and scenario analysis to guide business decisions.
- Use tools such as Essbase, Dodeca, and Excel to evaluate performance trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Drive cost transformation initiatives through data-backed insights and variance analysis.
Financial Planning and Analysis & Performance Management
- Oversee the monthly closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for senior leadership.
- Reconcile financial results against forecasts and budgets, identifying key drivers of variance.
- Collaborate with accounting and business partners to ensure alignment across reporting cycles.
- Maintain and enhance reporting tools and templates to support evolving business needs.
Process Optimization & Data Strategy
- Champion the use of automation and analytics tools to elevate finance operations.
- Co-lead initiatives to streamline forecasting processes and improve data availability across business units.
- Document and implement process enhancements across finance operations.
Budgeting & Cost Management
- Manage budgeting processes across multiple business lines, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine cost allocation methodologies and manage internal and external cost pools.
- Prepare board-level presentations and strategic finance reports.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Operate in a high-visibility role with direct engagement across multiple Consumer business units.
- Influence strategic decisions by partnering with senior leaders in operations, product, and finance.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that span regulatory planning, vendor strategy, and organizational design.
- Serve as a key liaison between Finance and enterprise-wide transformation efforts.
- Mentor emerging finance talent and support leadership development programs.
- Facilitate onboarding and integration of new team members
Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in financial services, preferably within banking.
- Proven ability to lead complex financial initiatives and cross-functional teams.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Hyperion Essbase and Dodeca preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with internal platforms such as Fuel50, Learning Hub, and Visio for process mapping.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on long-term value creation and operational efficiency.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in fast-paced environments.

Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $118,000 - $165,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
