Business Banking Engagement & Advisory Lead

Position Summary:

Citizens is looking for a collaborative and organized professional to lead the Business Banking Go-To-Market (GTM) Engagement function, with responsibility for overseeing regional event strategy, Center of Influence (COI) engagement, and the Business Banking Advisory Board. This role plays a key part in shaping how Citizens connects with clients, partners, and communities through meaningful experiences and insights.

In addition to managing regional event planning and execution, this individual will help scale the Business Banking Advisory Board from a regional initiative to a national platform—bringing client and COI perspectives into broader business conversations and helping inform strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Strategy & Oversight:
    • Guide the planning and execution of regional Business Banking events across key markets.
    • Ensure events align with GTM priorities and support COI engagement and business development goals.
    • Partner with regional teams to tailor experiences to local market needs.
  • Advisory Board Leadership:
    • Manage the Business Banking Advisory Board, including meeting planning, member engagement, and feedback collection.
    • Develop a roadmap to expand the board’s reach and impact from regional to national coverage.
    • Capture and share insights from board discussions to inform marketing, product, and sales strategies.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with marketing, sales, sponsorships, and regional leadership to coordinate efforts and ensure alignment.
    • Build relationships with trade organizations, COIs, and internal stakeholders to support engagement goals.
  • Experience Design & Brand Consistency:
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure all event materials and messaging reflect Citizens’ brand standards.
    • Support the creation of promotional campaigns and content for events.
  • Measurement & Reporting:
    • Track performance of events and advisory board initiatives using KPIs like attendance, engagement, and lead generation.
    • Provide regular updates and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Market Awareness:
    • Stay informed on trends in financial services, client engagement, and experiential marketing.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in event planning, client engagement, or marketing—ideally within financial services or B2B environments.
  • Familiarity with Business Banking and Commercial Lending products and client segments.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working with data and using insights to improve strategy.
  • Experience with CRM tools, project management platforms, and event technology is a plus.
