Embedded Finance Product Manager

Citizens Banks is seeking a highly motivated, passionate, and collaborative individual to join the Embedded Finance team as an Embedded Finance Product Manager. 

The goal of the Embedded Finance team is to develop and deploy embedded finance capabilities for brands, fintechs, platforms, software companies, and other businesses who want to embed financial products into their customer offerings. The team also works to promote seamless use of Citizens services for customers by delivering Citizens financial products to Citizens customers within the platforms in which they spend their time. 

The Embedded Finance Product Manager partners with colleagues across products, sales, risk, compliance, and technology on initiatives spanning the enterprise. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Become and serve as a subject matter expert on embedded finance and its sub-flavors (embedded payments, embedded lending, embedded card issuance, embedded deposit solutions, etc.). Priority focus is embedded payments and embedded deposits. 
  • Deliver new embedded finance capabilities for Citizens. Partner closely with internal product, risk, and tech teams to scope, design, build, launch, pilot, and scale new embedded financial capabilities. 
  • Work with credit, risk, compliance, and product teams to tailor existing Citizens products to enable embedded finance use cases.
  • Assist on creation of end-to-end coverage model for embedded finance clients; relationship management, product sales, credit / risk underwriting and oversight, account management, and specialized servicing.
  • Partner with sales teams on engagements with embedded finance clients to launch new and scale programs. Improve products based on client feedback.
  • Continuously refine client engagement and oversight models.
  • Educate and train internal colleagues on embedded finance. In particular, train client-facing colleagues how to identify embedded finance opportunities within their portfolios.

Qualifications:

  • 3-10 years of experience in financial services, preferably in product, compliance or sales roles. 
  • Experience working with fintechs, brands, platforms etc. to embed financial products into their product offerings
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery framework and related tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.) 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (Excel and PowerPoint skills) 
  • Strong partnership and relationship-building skills, at all levels of the organization; ability to influence cross-functional counterparts and internal colleagues
  • Strong analytical skills and business judgment/acumen
  • Excellent problem-solver, able to break-down complex problems into practical solutions
  • Strong program management and prioritization skills
  • Focus on driving results, versus activity
  • Self-starter, with a proactive approach to solving problems

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Preferred locations: New York NY, Johnston RI, Westwood MA, Pittsburgh PA
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday
  • Ability to work 4 days per week onsite
