While in this role, you are responsible for proactive credit and risk administration of assigned portfolio accounts in Citizens mid corporate/middle market area. Primary responsibilities include

  • Responsible for proactive credit and risk administration of assigned portfolio accounts in the assigned portfolio.
  • Structuring, underwriting, and documenting new business, renewals and modifications as the credit expert within the first line of defense.
  • Provide client management support for assigned portfolio and direct client interaction on standard credit and risk follow-up issues.
  • Actively engage with Relationship managers on progress, issues, and challenges regarding a particular customer relationship or portfolio concern.
  • Handle multiple demands and competing priorities while meeting deadlines and schedules associated with maintaining portfolio and compliance with credit and risk policies.
  • Manage moderately complex credits.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
    • 3–5 years of experience in commercial credit analysis, underwriting, or portfolio management within middle market or corporate banking.
  • Technical Skills
    • Strong understanding of credit risk principles, financial statement analysis, and cash flow modeling.
    • Proficiency in structuring and documenting credit transactions, including renewals and modifications.
    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and internal credit policies.
  • Core Competencies
    • Ability to manage moderately complex credits and multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for direct client interaction and collaboration with Relationship Managers.
  • Other Requirements
    • High attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
    • Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: M-F
