Description

As the Business Insights Analyst, you will work with large and complex data sets to analyze performance, uncover trends, and support strategic decisions across the business. You will be responsible for building knowledge of the company, processes, business systems and stakeholders to analyze business processes, identify requirements, and propose solutions to meet the needs of the business. You will address a variety of business challenges, applying standard procedures to evaluate, and implement solutions. You will be responsible for turning data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions.

Primary responsibilities include

  • Provide analyses and reports to identify trends and insights and formulate recommendations that will influence business decisions. Conduct industry and competitive research, perform data quality assurance checks, manipulate and analyze large amounts of data, and prepare client ready spreadsheets, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Ensure accuracy of results and analytic methods through testing and validation of underlying report data. Ensure bias and data quality issues are resolved or explained when communication occurs.
  • Identify business opportunities and opportunities for optimization through analysis of large, complex data sets.
  • Provide recurring and ad hoc research to support various business lines and internal partners' initiatives.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal partners and teammates. Work with technical and development partners to deliver solutions based on outlined requirements.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications, and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • 2-3 years professional experience in an analytical role
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, changing environment and to adapt while focusing on key goals and objectives
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to operate both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust, convey confidence, and address stakeholder needs effectively.
  • Proven proficiency with numbers and analytics, experience in analyzing large amounts of data, and an ability to translate that data into business insights.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and programming languages, including Alteryx, Tableau, Python, and SQL.
  • Associates degree in a quantitative field preferred; equivalent practical experience (3+ years in a similar role) accepted in lieu of a degree

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (minimum 4 days on site at our Johnston Campus)
