As a First Line Risk Senior Manager supporting the Treasury Solutions division in Commercial Banking, you will represent the First Line of Defense and identify and mitigate potential risks within the Commercial digital and access channels. This role focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating technology and operational risks across a portfolio of digital products and services, including APIs, file transmissions, and fintech integrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technology risk, cybersecurity, and operational risk, along with experience in fraud mitigation strategies, and will partner closely with product, technology, compliance, and second-line risk teams. You will serve as a trusted advisor to business partners, ensuring that risk management practices are embedded in product development and operational execution.
Specifically, the Senior Risk Manageris responsible, along with business unit management and under the guidance and supervision of a Risk Director, for establishing and monitoring all aspects of material risk related to the businesses that they cover. Determines if actions need to be taken to strengthen risk management or reduce risk given performance against the business unit’s risk profile and tolerances. The Senior Risk Manager is responsible for maintaining an effective end to end risk management program including risk identification, assessment and quantification, aggregation reporting, monitoring and control improvement. This includes ensuring the risk management framework, processes and practices executed comply with internal policy and applicable regulatory requirements and expectations. Ensures appropriate exam outcomes through exam management protocols. Maintains strong relationships with business leaders, support staff, Independent Risk Management, and Internal Audit.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong Knowledge of Risk Management: A solid understanding of various risk types (e.g., operational, financial, compliance, reputational) and risk management methodologies.
- Payment Products: Foundational knowledge of core payment capabilities inclusive of, but not limited to: Wire, ACH, Real Time Payments.Understanding of how the risk landscape may change based upon the nature of payment structures and process flows and implementation of adequate and effective controls to mitigate risk.
- Financial Industry Experience: Experience in banking or financial services at a nationally chartered institution is highly desirable. Understanding of B2B, B2C, C2C legal and payment structures.
- Risk Assessment Skills: The ability to manage and execute risk assessments on new business initiatives and implement new and or revised controls to applicable product and service risk inventories. Experience in establishing risk and control inventories and executing an annual and or ad hoc targeted risk and control self-assessment on a product and service inventory.
- Fraud Knowledge: Familiarity and staying updated with relevant fraud schemes and industry tools for fraud mitigation.
- Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to independently identify and resolve risk-related issues.
- Third Party Risk Management: Ensure fintech partners are identified and evidenced within the Bank’s Third-Party Risk Management program.Confirm due diligence activities at onboarding and on-going monitoring are conducted and conform to policy requirements.
- Technology Risk Management: Focus on identifying and mitigating risks associated with new technologies and digital banking platforms, particularly usage of APIs. Work with technical partners to ensure the security and stability of core banking systems and payment applications through operational and technical resiliency. Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and implement appropriate security measures.
- Knowledge of Tools: GRC Archer, JIRA, Confluence, Excel, Tableau.
Education & Qualifications:
BS Science – Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, MBA a plus
5-8 Years experience in Audit, Risk Management, Compliance related roles
Preferred Certifications – Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)

Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $112,500-$125,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
