Citizens is seeking a dynamic and strategic, seasoned Experiential Marketing Manager to join our Enterprise Sponsorships & Experiential Marketing Team and lead the strategic development and execution of high-impact consumer and commercial experiences across the enterprise. Business lines supported include Business Banking, Wealth Management, Retail, Corporate Banking, Capital Markets & Advisory, Commercial Real Estate, and Treasury Solutions. This role will also be a key partners in our Mastercard relationship, driving Priceless Experiences across lines of business. This role is instrumental in delivering innovative, memorable, and differentiated engagements that deepen customer relationships and elevate brand loyalty. These experiences span bespoke activations, thought leadership events, panel discussions, conferences, and webinars.

The ideal candidate is a visionary leader and collaborative partner who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at managing multiple projects, and brings a digital-first mindset to experiential strategy. This role requires strong communication, relationship-building, and project management skills, along with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels—including senior executives and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Team Enablement: Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team to conceptualize and deliver innovative experiential marketing programs aligned with business objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication: Partner with marketing and business line leaders to understand strategic goals and translate them into impactful customer experiences. Work closely with sales teams to manage invitation lists and drive attendance; collaborate with internal teams (Growth Strategy, Social/Content, Communications) to ensure event success.
  • Project Management: Work with their team to oversee the end-to-end event execution including invitation strategy, RSVP tracking, vendor coordination, budget management, contract negotiation, run-of-show development, and post-event analysis.
  • Executive Engagement: Present experiential plans and event strategies to senior leadership, clearly articulating objectives, logistics, and expected outcomes.
  • Brand Alignment: Ensure all experiences are consistent with Citizens brand standards and marketing guidelines.
  • Vendor & Venue Management: Work closely with the Marketing Event Operations Team when sourcing and onboarding vendors, speakers, and venues; manage contracts and compliance through internal systems.
  • Performance Measurement & Reporting: Develop post-event assessments and report key metrics to measure impact and inform future strategy. Collaborate with Marketing Event Operations to ensure performance data is captured in scorecards for socialization.
  • Industry Monitoring: Stay informed on financial services and experiential marketing trends to continuously evolve Citizens approach.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in event management and team leadership within a corporate setting; financial services experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects and collaborate with senior executives.
  • Deep understanding of the banking industry and customer engagement strategies.
  • Experience with sponsorships and partnerships is a plus.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable navigating tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Willingness to travel (~40%) and work non-traditional hours as needed.

Hours & Work Schedule

Hours per Week: 40 Hours

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday

Location: Westwood/Boston, MA In office 4 days and 1 day remote
