Vice President – Sr Project Manager

The candidate:

The Vice President – Sr Project Manager is a change leader for digital transformation initiatives in the Commercial Banking organization, accountable for driving digital change management and delivery across multiple portfolios.

The role partners closely with leadership in Commercial Lines of Business, Operations , and Technology, including cross-functional stakeholders to translate strategy into execution and measurable outcomes. It requires a blend of business acumen, technology fluency, operational experience, change facilitation, and program governance to advance client and colleague experiences.

The key deliverables of the role are: 

  • Program leadership, project management & execution
    • Stand up and run multi-workstream delivery across priority portfolios and programs.
    • Align priorities, dependencies, and milestones with clear ownership and measurable outcomes.
  • Governance & executive communications
    • Establish and manage operating cadences (e.g., daily/weekly rhythms; monthly/quarterly reviews).
    • Produce concise, executive-ready materials and facilitate decision forums.
  • Change management and delivery
    • Manage and deliver technology-enabled change initiatives.
    • Manage benefits realization, communications, training, and adoption tracking.
  • Financial stewardship
    • Partner with Finance to manage budgets and forecasts across programs.
    • Surface trade-offs early and recommend mitigations for variances.
  • Delivery discipline & tooling
    • Improve agile maturity and maintain delivery hygiene.
    • Ensure Jira/Confluence (or equivalent) are accurate and current.
  • Stakeholder & vendor management
    • Build strong relationships across business, operations, technology, and external partners.
    • Coordinate vendor touchpoints and synthesize inputs into clear actions.
  • Enablement & culture
    • Champion modern ways of working (including AI-assisted productivity).
    • Promote a continuous-improvement mindset and knowledge sharing.

The Business: Digital & Operations, Commercial Banking

Commercial Digital & Operations supports the onboarding and servicing lifecycle across Commercial Banking, spanning payments and cash management, trade and supply-chain, markets and hedging, and commercial lending. The function partners with business lines and technology to streamline processes, connect data, automate workflows, and modernize platforms to improve client and colleague experiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years leading large, cross-functional technology or transformation programs; experience in commercial/wholesale banking operations preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex technology topics and communicate simply to executive and delivery audiences.
  • Strong written, verbal and influencing skills; proven track record of managing and enabling indirect teams.
  • Advanced problem-solving with a data-driven approach; ability to build business cases, implementation plans and concise status reporting.
  • Proficiency with agile practices and common delivery tools (e.g., Jira/Confluence); comfortable enforcing governance and documentation standards.
  • Financial acumen to manage budgets and forecasts, with proactive risk/issue management.

Hours

Mon-Fri 8:30-5:00

Pay Transparency 

The salary range for this position is $ 114,041 - $ 171,062 per year  plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
