Sr. Investigations Analyst – Team Leader

The Senior Investigations Analyst will support the ongoing success of the Investigations function within Corporate Security, by providing an independent and objective investigations service throughout Citizens.  

In this role, you will provide leadership, guidance and management to the Case Intake team.   

Primary responsibilities include:  

  • Ensuring the FCRM Referral mailbox is monitored and triaged.
  • Placing preliminary follow up calls to law enforcement or regulatory agencies to gauge nature of requests and completing the request if possible.
  • Conducting desktop investigative support functions (IE- Customer outreach).
  • Providing point of contact support for Case Intake team. 
  • Manage a team within Case Intake to include training, coaching, completion/delivery of mid-year and annual reviews. 
  • Assist in effective allocation of people within Case Intake team. 
  • Ensure the provision of quality security investigations reporting as appropriate.
  • Review and approve Suspicious Activity Reports in accordance with FinCEN and BSA Officer guidance and the CFG SAR Program. 
  • Review/Approve no SAR and no case requests. 
  • Participate in SAR Working Group calls.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 3 or more years of experience as an analyst preferably within banking, financial services or retail.
  • Experience working in a banking investigations unit preferred
  • Understanding of banking policies and procedures in relation to staff gross misconduct, institutional knowledge of systems and operational procedures, awareness of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
  • An awareness of legal, statutory and regulatory environments, especially as they relate to investigations, within banking institutions.
  • Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act
  • Strong Computer and software skills, use of databases, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Clear communication skills (verbal/written).

Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials: 

  • Associates Degree Preferred 

Hours & Work Schedule

Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $84,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
