Resilience & Continuity Specialist

As the Resilience & Continuity Specialist, you will support the development, maintenance, and compliance of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) across CFG. You will work closely with business units to ensure alignment with CFG’s Operational Resilience Policy and Business Continuity Minimum Requirements. You will assess and close gaps between CFG’s risk appetite and current risk posture, and provide strategic solutions to enhance organizational resilience.

You will also lead and support testing, training, and reporting efforts, while providing oversight and guidance on continuity planning activities. You will collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure readiness and compliance, and deliver meaningful metrics through tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and dashboards.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Independently manage compliance dashboards for assigned BCP portfolio and escalate issues to plan owners or risk managers.
  • Deliver and manage training tools for risk assessments, Business Impact Analyses (BIAs), and recovery procedures.
  • Conduct ongoing quality assurance reviews of BCPs.
  • Develop a deep understanding of business systems and processes to deliver tailored continuity solutions.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on risk and compliance reporting tools.
  • Coordinate and facilitate BCP testing, including scheduling, logistics, and onsite support.
  • Maintain and enhance internal and vendor-supported tools for the Business Continuity program.
  • Participate in third-party supplier reviews to support continuity efforts.
  • Assess internal and external BCPs for readiness and policy compliance.
  • Provide strategic input to CFG’s Operational Resilience team and contribute to group-wide planning.

Experience and Skills

  • 3–5 years of experience in Business Continuity Management.
  • Experience designing, developing, or supporting recovery solutions for mid-to-large scale organizations.
  • Strong understanding of business continuity principles, programs, and terminology.
  • Hands-on experience with BCP development and Business Impact Analysis (BIA).
  • Ability to identify and mitigate continuity recovery risks.
  • Experience with continuity plan testing, oversight, and governance.
  • Proficiency in continuity metrics and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to present complex data to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Tableau is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project management skills including resource coordination and scheduling.
  • Ability to influence key decision-makers and provide independent technical guidance.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Certifications

  • CBCP Preferred (Certified Business Continuity Professional)
  • Other relevant continuity risk certifications are acceptable.
