Description

The Property Vendor Manager is responsible for fostering effective partnerships with external service providers to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement across the organization’s property portfolio. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance operational demands with long-term vendor relationship management, all while maintaining a strong commitment to quality and efficiency. Acting as a liaison between internal teams and vendors, the Property Vendor Manager must possess excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues as they arise. Success in this role demands a proactive attitude, analytical prowess, and a firm grasp of contract terms and execution.

They are expected to stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring vendor practices not only uphold organizational goals but also comply with legal and ethical standards. The Property Vendor Manager develops and implements robust vendor evaluation scorecards and monitors contract renewals to maintain continuity and value. In addition, they play a key role in supporting Request for Proposals (RFPs), assisting Procurement in the evaluation and overall vendor award, and transition planning to support a Property service. They will also be crucial in supporting risk management practices by identifying potential vulnerabilities in vendor operations and collaborating on strategies to mitigate those risks.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Assess the performance of vendors relative to contracted SLAs and KPIs.
  • Manage the resolution of billing issues with vendors.
  • Coordinate training sessions for vendors regarding internal platforms, such as billing systems and work order management systems.
  • Identify and address performance-based outcomes, including resolving instances of low service performance.
  • Understand key business drivers necessary for task completion.
  • Initiate contract requests, change controls, major contract changes, and/or provide support in RFP derivatives as needed.
  • Communicate the status of contract requests to relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure vendor compliance with established company standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in a highly specialty area preferred.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required if candidate possesses highly specialized skills sets.
  • 5+ years’ experience in vendor management or similar work field
  • Knowledgeable in current business operating models supporting applications processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Project Excel Visio PowerPoint Word
  • Strong organizational skills ability manage priorities striving excellence
  • The ability to manage multiple vendors simultaneously while working under pressure.
  • The ability to identify the impact of service deliverables and hold accountability where necessary.
  • Capable of providing immediate resolutions to minimize service deliverable impacts.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License required

Hours & Work Schedule:

  • Hours per Week: 40+
  • Work Schedule Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
