Deposit Fees Strategy Manager
Job Overview
The Deposit Fees Strategy Manager is responsible for end-to-end management of deposit fees, including developing and executing strategies to optimize the bank’s checking/deposit fee structure. This role focuses on driving revenue growth, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ensuring competitive market positioning. The ideal candidate will analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics to craft innovative strategies that balance profitability with customer value.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management and Optimization
- Identify opportunities to optimize pricing and ancillary fee revenues while maintaining customer loyalty and satisfaction.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the competitiveness and compliance of fee strategies. Conduct in-depth market research to understand customer preferences, competitor offerings, and pricing trends.
- Optimize fee structures to balance revenue generation with market competitiveness, customer needs, and regulatory requirements
- Manage and optimize policies and tools that facilitate fee decisions by customer-facing colleagues for individual customers, working with Technology and the users of these tools
- Use data analytics to identify gaps and opportunities within the customer base to optimize fee revenue.
- Provide actionable recommendations based on insights to senior leadership.
- Manage Overdraft Line of Credit product end-to-end, including origination, servicing and pricing as well as the customer experience
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with marketing, product management, operations, Retail and IT teams to execute strategic initiatives and product enhancements.
- Work closely with compliance and legal teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Align with cross-functional teams to enhance service delivery and reduce friction in fee-related processes and experiences.
- Work with Credit Risk partners on the optimization of overdraft decisions and the balance between revenue generation and credit losses
Performance Tracking and Reporting
- Prepare and present regular performance reports, including recommendations for improvement, to senior stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and fee performance.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in deposit and fee product strategy, pricing, or portfolio management
- Proven experience in managing fee structures or payment systems.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, regulatory requirements, and revenue management.
Skills:
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong focus on the customer experience
- Proficiency in data analytics and financial modeling tools
- Deep knowledge of fee structures and customer behavior
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $ 103,412 - $ 155,118 per year plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
