As the Home Mortgage Post Closing Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team consisting of multiple positions that ensure the quality and accuracy of the loan being purchased by the company. You will be responsible for the management of the team including management of production turn times in their respective area, production quality, identification of trends, training, and team performance management.

Primary responsibilities include

  • Monitor and manage loan production, turn times, and make sure quality standards are being met by individual team members. This includes management of loan pipelines and accuracy of documentation along with excellent customer service in answering questions, providing guidance and resolving any escalated issues.
  • Lead and attend regular team and department meetings to communicate trends, deliver training materials, and provide updates to policies and procedures.
  • Manage team in accordance to organization policies and procedures, including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, planning and directing work, appraising performance, and resolving problems.
  • Analyze trends, training opportunities, system enhancements to improve efficiency and quality, and communicate to management as needed.
  • Work with other departments (IT, sales, etc.) to ensure progression of strategic goals.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials 

  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and support.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking to identify trends and resolve issues.
  • Proactive and adaptable learner who applies new information to improve processes and decision-making.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Self-directed and accountable, with a strong sense of initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Flexible and open to change, with a collaborative mindset that supports team goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of mortgage banking operations and post-closing processes.
  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines such as the Ability to Repay/Qualified Mortgage Rule.
  • Experience using automated underwriting systems (e.g., Fannie Mae’s Desktop Underwriter, Freddie Mac’s Loan Prospector).
  • Exposure to loan auditing or quality control processes is beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge gained through professional development, training, or relevant experience.

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: M - F, Hybrid
