The COO division of Capital Markets and Advisory is recruiting to hire a Business Reporting Analyst to support multiple businesses. This role will work closely with a senior analyst for daily support and future build out.  The Business Reporting Analyst will be participating in all aspects of the day to day activities.  

Primary responsibilities include

  • Work with business partners on the collection and presentation utilizing business intelligence and analytics software.  
  • Collect data from numerous data sources/files/feeds.  Initiate automated data upload process while identifying and troubleshooting any arising data issues/problems.
  • Query and analyze collected loan level data for the purpose of evaluating financial performance and identifying historic trends.
  • Develop and maintain data visualization reports that frame analysis into useful data tables and charts.
  • Maintain monthly deal-level portfolio analysis and historical charting reports.
  • Provide ad-hoc data analysis and reporting to various banking team members.
  • Participate in portfolio strategy meetings and present loan market risks/trend data to portfolio management team.
  • Conduct independent data analysis, create models, and build reports on assigned research projects.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • A four-year college degree with a primary focus on finance, accounting, data analytics or computer science.
  • Strong analytical skills including excellent data analysis/optimization skills, and very proficient in Excel.
  • Experience creating data visualizations using modern business intelligence (BI) tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience with coding in VBA, ADO, Java, C#, Microsoft Excel development platform and knowledge of Python and Alteryx preferred.  
  • Knowledge of database design and structured query languages (SQL) with preference of knowledge of Snowflake.
  • Proficient technical problem solving/critical thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with capital markets, finance, banking, and/or corporate leveraged loan market is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.  Communication with business line (non-technical) and technology team members will be required.

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40 
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
