Description

The Business Banking Treasury Sales Specialist is responsible for deeply understanding client businesses and delivering tailored Treasury Solutions that drive operational efficiency, strengthen risk management, and support overall financial performance. This role directly influences both sales growth and P&L performance within assigned markets, ensuring the bank captures and grows its fair share of client wallet across Treasury Solutions and adjacent products.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Market Growth

• Drive sales and P&L growth for assigned markets by expanding the use of Treasury Solutions and increasing profitability across the portfolio.

• Grow client relationships across all treasury products to maximize share of wallet and support long-term revenue expansion.

• Act as a visible, knowledgeable advocate for Cash Management and Treasury Solutions within the local market for both existing and prospective clients.

• Lead the cultivation, management, and conversion of a high‑quality sales pipeline.

Partner Engagement & Sales Execution

• Attend joint client calls and meetings (virtual or in person) with Relationship Managers, specifically supporting the $1MM–$10MM segment, potentially up to $50MM segment.

• Proactively identify new prospects and build structured calling plans in partnership with Relationship Managers, regularly evaluating client portfolios for opportunities.

• Deliver the full suite of CFG capabilities through organized, intentional calling activities.

• Maximize opportunities by building comprehensive client relationships and deepening engagement with other business lines.

• Generate fee and margin revenue through Treasury Solutions and expand opportunities for FX, Commercial Card, Merchant Services, and DDA growth.

Trusted Advisor & Client Experience

• Serve as a Trusted Advisor by understanding client needs and recommending solutions that improve operational efficiency and financial performance.

• Provide consistent product updates to RMs, ensuring they are informed on enhancements, initiatives, and client-impacting issues.

• Oversee opportunities through implementation, ensuring timely setup, training, and onboarding; escalate delays to protect the client experience.

Operational Discipline & CRM Excellence

• Adhere to all bank risk management guidelines, policies, and controls, ensuring activities are compliant with regulatory expectations and internal standards.

• Follow the bank’s sales process with rigor, ensuring timely updates of pipeline, forecasting, and calling activity in CRM.

• Update CRM weekly ahead of forecasting and maintain accurate, complete records of client activity.

• Provide market insights and feedback to internal partners to support product evolution and competitive positioning.

Leadership & Internal Partnership

• Effectively leverage and delegate to Sales Associates, Implementation Managers, and Client Services teams to maintain focus on sales activity and client strategy.

• Participate in ongoing training to maintain deep knowledge of Cash Management products, processes, and technologies.

• Contribute to regional business development strategies as assigned or independently developed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

• 4+ years of Cash Management or Treasury Solutions sales experience strongly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of Treasury Solutions products and a deep understanding of client needs and use cases.

• Demonstrated ability to drive results: action-oriented, self-accountable, and motivated by superior outcomes.

• Proven ability to identify client needs, link solutions, articulate value, and close business.

• Experience managing moderately complex portfolios, clients, and transactions.

• Strong commitment to client service, satisfaction, and retention.

• Meaningful community involvement and a demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships internally and externally.

• Ability to earn the trust and confidence of clients and colleagues by always putting the client first.

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40 
  • Work Schedule: Mon - Fri 8 AM - 5 PM
