The Senior Business Analyst (SBA) plays a critical role in delivering scalable, compliant, and client‑ready commercial banking and treasury solutions. This role partners closely with Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, and external vendors to translate product strategy into clear requirements, document end‑to‑end processes and data flows, and ensure launch readiness for complex cash management capabilities.

The ideal candidate has deep experience supporting digital or data‑driven financial products and thrives in cross‑functional environments where precision, governance, and execution matter.

Key Responsibilities

Translate Business & Product Strategy into Requirements

  • Elicit, analyze, and document functional, non‑functional, and data requirements that support commercial banking and treasury products.
  • Translate product vision into clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria for engineering and vendor teams.
  • Define integration requirements across internal systems, APIs, vendors, and reporting platforms.

Own End‑to‑End Process & Data Flow Documentation

  • Document current‑state and future‑state workflows, including client journeys from onboarding through ongoing support.
  • Map end‑to‑end data lineage (source → transformation → storage → display), including exceptions and fallback scenarios.
  • Ensure clarity around timing, cutoffs, controls, and dependencies across systems.

Support Risk, Legal, and Compliance Readiness

  • Partner with Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Product teams to document:

    • Data usage, storage, and transformation

    • Automated vs. manual processes

    • Control points and approvals

  • Support governance reviews related to privacy, model risk, AI usage, third‑party risk, and audit readiness.

  • Ensure solutions are defensible, well‑documented, and approved prior to launch.

Drive Testing, Pilot, and Launch Readiness

  • Define UAT strategies, scenarios, and acceptance criteria aligned to real client use cases.

  • Validate test data, edge cases, and defect remediation.

  • Support pilot programs, go‑live readiness, and post‑launch hypercare activities.

Enable Operations, Sales, and Client Support

  • Create and contribute to operating procedures, runbooks, FAQs, and support workflows.

  • Partner with Sales and onboarding teams to clarify product readiness, entitlements, and limitations.

  • Ensure operational teams are prepared to support the product at scale.

Serve as a Cross‑Functional Connector

  • Act as a central point of coordination across Product, Engineering, Operations, Vendors, Risk, and Support.

  • Track dependencies, surface risks early, and ensure decisions are documented and traceable.

  • Drive alignment and reduce late‑stage surprises during delivery and launch.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting digital products, platforms, or data‑driven solutions.

  • Experience working in financial services, commercial banking, treasury, or payments environments.

  • Strong experience with:

    • Requirements elicitation and documentation

    • Process and data flow mapping

    • UAT planning and execution

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience with cash management, forecasting, reporting, payments, or multibank solutions.

  • Exposure to regulatory, risk, or governance processes (e.g., privacy, third‑party risk, audit).

  • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum delivery models and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

  • Experience supporting AI‑enabled or analytics‑driven products.
