This key role is a critical and integral partner to the HR team and is responsible for leading an integrated colleague technology experience, supporting engineers, agile teams, and business analysts, to deliver a consumer grade technology experience to all colleagues and generate efficiencies in the HR technology engagement. 

The Director of HR Technology will lead the evolution and execution of Citizens Bank’s HR technology strategy and will help to shape the future in how colleagues engage HR services utilizing consumer grade technologies.

In this role, you should have a history of successfully integrating yourself into an organization as an effective agent for change and should have a reputation as a strategically and commercially oriented executive who delivers results, has proven leadership skills, and strong business acumen. 

 Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Evolve and drive the HR technology strategy. 
    • Consult and partner with HR and business colleagues along with external best practice sources to identify opportunities to use HR technologies to improve the colleague experience and drive business results.
    • Define HR technology strategy working with key HR and Technology leaders.
    • Create actionable HR roadmap and measure delivery objectives against the roadmap.
  • Lead Agile Neighborhoods to ensure story board alignment, defined key results, and appropriate risk and security stakeholders are engaged.
  • Leverage Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to drive innovation in HR. 
  • Develop Agile teams to ensure upskilling and growth opportunities are realized.
  • Research HR technology market trends and advise key leaders on Citizens vs. Market to inform future strategies and roadmaps.
  • Ensure HR technology vendors provide defined services and meet service level agreements based on established contracts.
  • Seek, analyze, and initiate new vendor contacts and relationships in support of the Pods and HR roadmap.
  • Create, participate, and drive technology governance at various levels of the organization.

Experience, Skills and Competencies:

  • 10 years of HR technology experience with integrated systems (Oracle HCM, Ultipro, Saba). 
  • Experience designing and configuring Oracle HCM cloud solutions (or comparable solution) for global organizations, including support for multi-currency, cross-border payroll and regional localization. (U.S. and India).
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in leading a HR Technology function. 
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills and knowledge of operational and strategic reporting tools.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain data and findings to a non-technical and executive audience. 
  • Strong consultative skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize among competing demands in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, problem-solving, and critical thinking. 

Hours & Work Schedule

Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday

Pay Transparency 

The salary range for this position is $202,000 - $292,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
