About the Role

We are seeking a Data Management Specialist to serve as a dedicated resource supporting Enterprise Customer Communication (ECC) - Join the Bank (JTB) data needs, with a targeted focus on advancing data provisioning capabilities for our customer communication platforms, Zeta Marketing Platform (ZMP) and Pega.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Engagement & Requirements: Partner with business stakeholders to gather, define, and maintain data quality requirements and specifications.

  • Data Research / Analysis: Develop deep understanding of data concepts; gather data requirements; define file specifications; design and build data feed processes; and create extract queries. 

  • Data Development & Integration: Design, modify, and develop new or existing data feeds to support the integration of new data metrics and evolving business requirements. 

  • Automation: Partner with technology teams to enable scheduling and automation of new data processes. 

  • Data Governance & Stewardship: Support the management of data availability, usability, integrity, security, and privacy across the enterprise. 

  • Data Quality Management: Establish and maintain process controls to ensure data integrity and operational stability. 

  • Metadata & Documentation: Develop and maintain metadata, including data lineage, transformation rules, data dictionaries, ZMP User Guide, ZMP Training, glossaries, and repositories; ensure adherence to naming standards and definitions. 

  • Data Analysis & Modeling: Apply a strong understanding of data models, relationships, mapping lineage, and business rules to support data solutions. 

  • Testing & Validation: Develop detailed test strategies and plans; perform testing, validation, and quality assurance of data and data management capabilities. 

  • Issue Resolution: Conduct root cause analysis and resolve data issues impacting data feed processes. 

  • Knowledge Management: Gather and document enterprise data knowledge using established tools, processes, and workflows to ensure ongoing relevance and accessibility. 

  • Taxonomy & Governance Frameworks: Assist in designing, maintaining, and governing taxonomies to ensure alignment with data and content structures. 

  • Data Integration & Change Support: Contribute to data integration, migration, and change initiatives, ensuring adherence to data standards and governance practices.

  • Production Support: Perform ongoing monitoring and support of production data feeds to ensure reliability and performance. 

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of consumer banking/financial products and associated business processes
  • Experience in data discovery and analytical work
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively, demonstrate initiative, and contribute within a team environment
  • High level of attention to detail

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with data exploration using SQL and non-SQL tools and techniques
  • Background in data design and/or data management
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies

Education, Certifications, and/or Professional Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 5+ years of relevant experience
    OR
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
