Description

Citizens Capital Markets & Advisory is seeking an experienced Director/Managing Director, Investment Grade Trader to join its Sales & Trading team. This role is centered on providing liquidity to institutional clients, managing trading inventory and market risk, developing sector expertise, and partnering closing with Sales, Syndicate, and Debt Capital Markets to enhance Citizen’s Fixed Income franchise

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and actively manage Investment Grade trading risk across corporate bonds and related instruments, with disciplined balance sheet deployment.
  • Make markets and provide liquidity in Investment Grade corporate bonds for institutional clients
  • Partner closely with Investment Grade Syndicate and Investment Banking on new issue pricing, distribution strategy, order book intelligence, and aftermarket performance.
  • Provide real-time market color, liquidity insight, and pricing intelligence to sales, syndicate, research, and banking teams.
  • Evaluate and manage firm inventory, liquidity constraints, and capital usage in line with risk and return objectives.
  • Serve as a senior market resource to clients and internal stakeholders regarding market structure, execution strategy, and credit market dynamics.
  • Mentor and develop junior traders and contribute to a high-performance, risk-aware trading culture.
  • Maintain strict adherence to regulatory, supervisory, and internal risk management requirements

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Investment Grade Trading experience or a closely related credit markets role.
  • Deep expertise in Investment Grade market structure, pricing, liquidity, spread products, and relative-value dynamics.
  • Proven ability to generate P&L through disciplined risk management and market insight.
  • Strong understanding of primary and secondary Investment Grade credit markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance client facilitation, risk management, and firm profitability.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate market views internally and externally.
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses required (or ability to obtain promptly).

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40+
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $300,000 to $400,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to, the budget,  the work location, and relevant skills and experience.  ​
