As a Credit Card Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will independently lead and coordinate the development, documentation, and presentation of functional specifications for major systems, applications, and complex business initiatives. Serving as a resource to operations colleagues, you will perform data analysis and process mapping to support successful implementation and functionality across business lines.

In this role, you will partner closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to ensure business requirements are accurately captured and translated into functional and technical specifications. This is a senior-level position requiring a combination of business acumen, technical expertise, and strong communication skills. Success in this role requires the ability to analyze complex business challenges, communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences, and maintain both functional and non-functional specifications across a portfolio of systems and applications.

Primary responsibilities include

  • Lead system requirements gathering and analysis, identifying dependencies, conflicts, risks, and gaps.
  • Oversee system design and documentation, including the development of functional specifications, user stories, and system design artifacts.
  • Support system implementation activities, including data migration, user acceptance testing, training, go-live readiness reviews, and post-implementation support.
  • Engage with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements, translate technical concepts into business terms, and provide meaningful reporting and insights.
  • Document and improve business processes through process mapping, maintenance of procedural documentation, and creation of knowledge repositories for team use.
  • Prepare complex reporting and analysis to support change governance, resource planning, operational management, and business reviews.
  • Lead discussions and identify opportunities to improve business performance through the effective use of technology, automation, and data-driven solutions.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • 3 to 4 years of experience supporting Credit Card technology environments preferred; 5+ years of experience in financial services operations required.
  • Experience leveraging data and analytics to identify performance trends and process improvement opportunities.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence leaders and partners at all organizational levels.
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies with exposure to Agile practices and frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and impactful messages to leadership, business partners, and vendors.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of the FIS TS2 Consumer and Commercial processing platforms preferred.

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40

  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
