Home Mortgage QA/QC Senior Analyst

Description

As part of the Home Mortgage Quality Control Department, the primary function of this position is to ensure Private Bank Home Lending  is in compliance with all applicable credit policy, guidelines and regulations.  Re-underwrite and review all underwriting decisions for the monthly QC selection of loans to ensure that all guidelines on mortgage products are being met by Private Bank production staff. Determine if all conditions were input correctly, and conditions were satisfied. Review each appraisal for soundness and determine if review appraisal is warranted. Review legal documents to ensure accuracy. Assist in the performance of periodic targeted assurance reviews and perform other credit and quality control duties as may be assigned.  This role involves alternating between Pre-Funding and Post-Closing reviews.

Primary responsibilities include

  • Primary focus is on the timely and accurate re-underwrite of assigned QA/QC reviews within established production goals and service level expectations.
  • Analysts will be expected to meet daily loan review productivity targets while maintaining a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to all established procedures and SOPs.
  • Performance will be measured through a combination of production results, quality review outcomes, and compliance with departmental standards. Responsibilities may expand based on demonstrated capabilities, experience, and business needs.
  • Thoroughly understand and comply with regulatory requirements that impact your work including state and federal laws.
  • Complete required Regulatory and HR compliance training each quarter by established deadlines.
  • Escalate issues to management immediately.
  • Display a professional and positive attitude at all times with all of your interactions, as measured by customer/stakeholder feedback and manager observations.
  • Work toward your PDP goals throughout the year and present evidence of progress to your manager.
  • Responsibilities may broaden as skills, experience, and business needs evolve.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • 7+ years underwriting experience with in-depth knowledge of manual underwriting guidelines
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of complex underwriting of high/ultra-high net worth borrowers to include analysis of multiple businesses, large real estate portfolios and diverse asset portfolios
  • Sound knowledge of consumer mortgage lending process and workflow through post-closing
  • Sound knowledge of secondary & private investor loan programs
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with solid organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • PC skills including proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database applications
  • Experience with ACES, Empower and/or Encompass, a plus
  • Ability to manage change and take on new tasks as required
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high-level degree of confidentiality
  • Must be detail oriented and with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong ability to work autonomously while maintaining high productivity and quality standards.

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: M-F 8-5 (4 days in the office)
