Citizens Capital Markets & Advisory – Markets group is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join our Advisory – Industrial team in our Cleveland office. The Investment Banking Analyst will work closely with the team’s senior professionals preparing, analyzing, and executing banking related transactions, primarily within the U.S. middle market.

Our Analysts are exposed to multiple industries within our core areas of focus. In addition to key execution responsibilities, Analysts manage consistent deal flow with opportunity to be the point of contact for our clients. All Analysts have significant exposure to senior bankers and are involved in all stages of a transaction; they are an integral part of delivery to our clients and prospects.  

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Perform extensive financial modeling, valuation analysis, and preparation of analytical materials to support transaction execution and strategic decision‑making.
  • Analyze financial model outputs and client information to prioritize key data, draw conclusions, and prepare insights for internal and client discussions.
  • Conduct comprehensive company and industry research, including due diligence, and develop ongoing industry thought pieces and analyses for client presentation.
  • Manage and maintain the online diligence repository, ensuring accurate, organized, and up‑to‑date transaction materials.
  • Prepare and review detailed transaction marketing materials—including confidential information memoranda and management presentations—as well as pitches, origination decks, and other client‑facing presentations.
  • Support senior team members in creating new business ideas, pitch strategies, and transaction structuring scenarios across equity, debt, and M&A to help clients meet strategic and financial objectives.
  • Assist in broader business development efforts, contributing to idea generation, client engagement, and pipeline development.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • 1- 2 years of work experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, or similar role. 
  • Experience in Industrial sector is preferred
  • Professional / concise oral and written communication
  • Strong technical skills (knowledge of accounting, modeling, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-starter / intellectual curiosity / resourceful
  • Strong work ethic / team player / high degree of humility, maturity, and integrity
  • Ability to work efficiently and to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Please note that U.S. Immigration sponsorship or work visa is not available for this position and candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S.

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40+
  • Work Schedule: Mon - Fri
