Oversee the design, alignment, and implementation of data solutions supporting Commercial profitability and enterprise platforms. This includes deep understanding of CFG’s data architecture, profitability frameworks, and enterprise systems to ensure scalable, efficient, and accurate data solutions. The role will act as a bridge between business intent and technical execution, ensuring that solutions meet both strategic and operational needs.

The candidate will be primarily responsible for translating business outcomes into optimal technical designs, providing direction to development teams on best practices for implementation across platforms. This role will bring a strong understanding of both business processes and technology architecture, enabling the organization to deliver high-quality, consistent, and governed data solutions.

An important aspect of this role is to guide solution design across profitability architecture and broader CFG data ecosystems, ensuring consistency, reusability, and alignment with enterprise standards. The individual will work closely with Product Owners, Finance, Technology, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are both technically sound and aligned with intended business outcomes.

This role is a senior individual contributor within the data organization, working in an agile manner in the Bank’s Modern Operating Model environment and closely aligned with product, engineering, and architecture teams.


Overall Responsibilities:

  • Develop deep expertise in CFG data architecture, including profitability frameworks and enterprise data ecosystems
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand desired outcomes and translate them into scalable data solutions
  • Provide technical guidance to developers on best practices for data design, integration, and implementation
  • Ensure alignment of solutions with enterprise architecture standards and long-term strategic direction
  • Act as a key liaison between business, product, and technology teams to ensure clarity and execution quality
  • Drive consistency and standardization in data models, definitions, and implementation approaches
  • Support design and evolution of profitability architecture, ensuring accurate and actionable outputs
  • Review and validate solution designs, ensuring they meet performance, scalability, and governance requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve data flows, reduce complexity, and enhance usability of data assets
  • Contribute to strategic roadmaps for data and platform evolution
  • Provide input into prioritization of initiatives based on business value and technical feasibility
  • Create documentation and communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, business-friendly manner


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field required
  • Strong experience in data architecture, data engineering, or solution design roles
  • Experience working with complex enterprise data environments and large-scale platforms
  • Strong understanding of financial services data, including profitability or product-related data preferred
  • Experience guiding development teams and influencing technical design decisions
  • Experience in SQL and data query languages required
  • Experience working in agile environments and cross-functional teams

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: Mon-Friday
  • Hybrid: 4 days per week on-site 

PayTransparency

The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $183,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
