About the Role
Citizens ABL is currently recruiting for a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior Originator in our ABL Group. The role is an integral position driving new client acquisition and business activity for the bank. The Senior Originator works closely with leadership in the ABL Group, Capital Markets as well as the Middle Market and Mid-Corporate coverage banking teams. This role is responsible for sourcing, developing, and structuring lead ABL opportunities to expand the client base and market presence.
Responsibilities
- Lead Generation and Prospecting:
- Develop and implement strategies to identify potential ABL clients.
- Cultivate relationships with key contacts including relationship bankers, accountants, attorneys, equity and mezzanine sources.
- Network at industry events to grow the referral base and enhance brand visibility.
- Evaluate prospective clients’ financial information to assess suitability for ABL financing and structure appropriate ABL solutions in conjunction with underwriting team.
- Help to prepare internal screening memos and external pitch materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams on internal screening memos, pitch materials and approval memos.
- Maintain accurate sales activity and networking records, potentially using Salesforce.
- Additionally, maintain market leading ABL product expertise, appropriate debt capital knowledge and risk appetite understanding to succeed on a consistent basis.
- Deal Structuring and Execution:
Qualifications
- 5 - 10+ years of sales experience and exhibited competency in financial analysis and ABL credit structuring, understanding and applying credit policy and risk administration practices.
- Excellent verbal, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
- Ability to travel as required as well as multi-task and function under pressure.
- FINRA licenses 79 & 63 & SIE are required or will need to be obtained within 6 months of hire date.
- Bachelors Degree required.

Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $230,000 - $275,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, relevant skills, and experience.
