The Head of Claims Accounting & Settlement - Fraud Operations Sr Manager role, is responsible for the daily reconciliation, accounting, and settlement activities across multiple general ledgers supporting Citizens Claims Operations. This role owns end‑to‑end financial integrity for claims activity, including onshore and offshore execution models, and ensures strong controls, timely break resolution, and accurate financial reporting. The role will lead efforts to simplify and standardize processes while partnering with Technology to automate manual activities and position the function for AI‑enabled capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
• Own daily reconciliation, settlement, and accounting activities across multiple Claims Operations GLs, including suspense and product‑specific ledgers
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of reconciling items, aging, and open breaks across all claims channels
• Oversee onshore and offshore resources supporting daily accounting and reconciliation activities, ensuring clear ownership, quality standards, and escalation paths
• Establish standardized reconciliation frameworks, controls, and documentation across all GLs to reduce variation and operational risk
• Lead process reviews to identify inefficiencies, manual touchpoints, and control gaps, with a focus on simplification and scalability
• Partner with Technology, Finance, and Claims Operations to design and implement automation solutions, enabling straight‑through processing and AI alignment
• Manage and develop a team, setting priorities, monitoring performance against deliverables, and supporting professional development
• Serve as a primary point of contact for audit, risk, and compliance inquiries related to claims accounting, settlement, and GL activity
• Support system enhancements, data integrity initiatives, and reporting improvements within Oracle and related financial platforms

Leadership and Collaboration
• Act as a strategic partner to Claims Operations leadership, translating high‑volume operational activity into accurate financial outcomes
• Collaborate closely with Corporate Accounting and Finance to ensure consistency with enterprise accounting standards and reporting requirements
• Work with Technology teams to modernize data flows, reconciliation logic, and exception handling across onshore and offshore models

Required Qualifications
• Strong background in finance or accounting, with experience supporting complex, high‑volume transactional environments
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple GLs, reconciliations, and settlement processes
• Proven ability to streamline processes and lead automation initiatives
• Experience managing both onshore and offshore teams or vendor‑supported models
• Working knowledge of Oracle or comparable financial systems

Preferred / Nice to Have
• Operations experience within claims, fraud, payments, or financial services environments
• Exposure to automation, data transformation, or AI‑adjacent initiatives
• Experience partnering with technology teams on system modernization or platform migrations

Hours & Work Schedule M-F

Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule: 8:30-5pm
