Trade & Supply Chain Finance – Senior Sales Specialist

The Trade & Supply Chain Finance Senior Sales Specialist delivers a variety of Trade solutions to clients, including Traditional Trade and Supply Chain Finance. This business development role incorporates client coverage responsibilities across multiple client segments and regions.  

As a senior Trade Sales Specialist, you will be the primary trade and supply chain finance product specialist covering corporate clients.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Act as an advisor, delivering Trade and Supply Chain Finance solutions to help clients better manage Trade and working capital flows.
  • Drive profitable revenue growth through expansion of existing client portfolio and new business development.
  • Partnering with banking Relationship Managers and Treasury Relationship Managers to identify opportunities and advance client strategy.
  • Build trusted client relationships, provide industry insights, and identify client needs.
  • Interface with internal partners such as Operations, Credit, Risk, Legal, Marketing, and Product teams. 
  • Provide market feedback to internal business partners.
  • Lead the delivery of a seamless client experience.
  • Actively participate in the risk management process.
  • Identify trends and opportunities by harnessing market knowledge, network, research, and client feedback.
  • Lead strategic sales initiatives / projects.
  • Mentor junior team members.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:

  • 7+ years of Trade Finance and Supply Chain Finance experience in a banking or financial services environment.

  • Established knowledge of Trade and Supply Chain Finance Products – Letters of Credit, Collections, Trade Receivables and Payables.  

  • Understanding of and comfort with credit, risk management, the credit underwriting process, and documentation.

  • Understanding of technologies and operational processes that support and enable trade and supply chain finance.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate and position working capital and trade finance concepts.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross functional teams.

  • Ability to identify and pursue revenue opportunities through data-driven analysis, including cross-sell strategies.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Adept at client call preparation, research, and management of deals teams and process.
  • Strong communications skills. 
  • Strong work ethic; self-motivated, passionate, and driven to achieve results. 
  • Team player who can thrive in a collaborative environment. 
  • Ability to travel to see clients as needed, up to 50%.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Master’s Degree preferred

The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $220,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
