Description

The Third-Party Vendor Assessment function adds value by providing specific business function assurance on vendors, in relation to customer, financial and reputational risks. We add value by bringing momentum to action plans to address risk and leveraging findings and best practice on a bank wide scale.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Conduct timely and comprehensive third-party risk assessments in alignment with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Draft clear, detailed, and well-organized workpapers and assessment reports that accurately reflect findings, risk levels, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives aimed at improving third-party risk management processes and tools.
  • Actively participate in training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing opportunities to stay current on emerging risks, regulatory changes, and industry trends.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to gather necessary information and provide guidance on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance assessment methodologies, tools, and workflows to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple third-party risk assessments and related activities simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to identify, assess, and classify inherent and residual risks across various domains.
  • Experience drafting clear, concise, and well-structured workpapers and risk assessment reports.
  • Prior experience in a financial services organization, particularly within Risk, Audit, Compliance, Cybersecurity, or Third-Party Risk functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to create and manage documentation, reports, and data analysis tools.
  • Skilled in gathering and analyzing evidence through diverse methods such as email correspondence, virtual sessions, onsite visits, and document reviews.
  • Familiarity with evaluating a wide range of evidence sources, including artifacts, interviews, process walkthroughs, policy reviews, independent audits, and system demonstrations.

Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • 4+ years experience

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40+
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (4 days in office, 1 day remote)
