While in this role, you will oversee effective credit underwriting, credit, and risk administration with particular emphasis on adherence to credit policy and requirements, financial analysis/modeling, risk evaluation, ongoing portfolio maintenance activities, and as needed client support for an assigned portfolio of existing restaurant finance credits. Primary responsibilities include

  • Manages a portfolio of the most complex credits and will perform the functions of the position with only periodic oversight and is expected to perform with very limited supervisory intervention.
  • Exhibits expert knowledge of clients/credits included in the franchise portfolio when interacting with peers, Relationship Manager, team leader, and senior managers across departments/work teams.
  • Effective credit underwriting, credit, and risk administration with particular emphasis on adherence to credit policy and requirements, financial analysis/modeling, risk evaluation, ongoing portfolio maintenance activities, and as needed client support for an assigned portfolio.
  • Structuring, underwriting, and documenting new business, renewals, and modifications as the credit expert within the first line of defense.
  • Oversees assigned portfolio of credits and anticipates portfolio problems and takes action to develop solutions, handles multiple demands and competing priorities, meets deadlines and schedules associated with maintaining portfolio compliance with credit and risk policies.
  • Provides client management support for assigned portfolio.
  • Regular level of direct client interaction and able to resolve the most complex issues related to credit monitoring and administration with client directly.
  • Understands and stays abreast of industry and market information related to assigned markets, customers, and shares insights and learnings with other RMs and PMs.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • Extensive Credit Expertise: Proven ability to manage a portfolio of complex restaurant finance credits with minimal oversight, demonstrating expert-level credit underwriting and risk administration.
  • Policy & Compliance Leadership: Deep understanding of credit policies and regulatory requirements, ensuring consistent adherence across underwriting, structuring, and portfolio maintenance activities.
  • Advanced Financial Analysis: Skilled in financial modeling and risk evaluation to support sound credit decisions and portfolio health.
  • Client-Facing Experience: Strong track record of direct client interaction, including resolving complex credit issues and providing strategic support.
  • Portfolio Management Excellence: Capable of anticipating portfolio challenges, developing proactive solutions, and balancing multiple priorities to maintain compliance and performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effective communicator with Relationship Managers, team leaders, and senior stakeholders; shares market insights and credit learnings to enhance team knowledge.
  • Industry Awareness: Maintains up-to-date knowledge of market trends and industry developments relevant to franchise and restaurant finance sectors.

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: M-F
