Citizens Bank is seeking Investment Banking Analysts to join the Capital Markets & Advisory (“CM&A”) team. Analysts work closely with the team’s junior and senior professionals preparing, analyzing, and executing investment banking related transactions, primarily within the U.S. middle market. 

Analysts are assigned to active and prospective engagement teams across multiple industries within our core areas of focus and have the opportunity to grow professionally in a fast-paced environment. 

Corporate Finance – San Francisco, CA

The San Francisco Corporate Finance Bankers are “Industry Coverage Experts” who originate and execute debt, M&A, and equity transactions across various industries through capital raising and strategic advisory solutions. Analysts on the Corporate Finance team inSan Francisco craft pitch materials, prepare industry analyses, and perform financial valuation.

Sector coverage in San Francisco includes Technology and Real Estate.

Responsibilities

Shared responsibilities across all CM&A functions include: 

  • Financial Analysis: Financial modeling, comparable company and transaction analyses, leveraged buyout, and other valuation analyses.
  • Preparing Information Memoranda and Transaction Documents: Draft key marketing and transaction-related documents.
  • Supporting Team Members: Develop new business ideas, pitch strategies, or transaction structuring scenarios to help clients achieve their strategic objectives.
  • Preparing Pitch/Business Origination Materials and Presentations: Develop and assemble pitches and presentations and be an integral part of delivering these presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, graduating between Winter 2025 – Spring 2026
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2; Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.5
    • Please include your cumulative GPA on your resume. 
  • Relevant work experience, leadership experience and coursework in Finance, Accounting or Economics is preferred but all majors will be considered. 
  • Strong analytical skills and software skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency is required.
  • Candidates must currently be a U.S. Resident to be eligible for this program. 
    • Please note that U.S. Immigration sponsorship or work visa is not available for intern / full-time Analyst positions and candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S.

Pay Transparency

The position offers $110,000 per year as a starting rate, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
