Senior Cloud Engineer

Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer for its Johnston, RI location.

Duties: Develops infrastructure-as-code to instantiate cloud solutions, Terraform modules and patterns, and Jenkins GO libraries using secure standard IaC pipelines. Designs, architects, and develops Ansible roles and internal automation tools. Evaluates cloud platforms and services to confirm adherence to industry best practices. Inspires trust and confidence in partners through strategic and diplomatic handling of relationships with senior business and IT leaders with the goal of building, planning, assessing and prioritizing cloud related initiatives. Assists in developing a culture of risk taking and innovation within the organization that continuously embraces and adapts to change.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Infomatics, or related field. Experience must include the following, gained either through professional experience or graduate level studies: Developing cloud platforms and automated cloud solutions, including infrastructure-as-code for instantiate cloud solutions; Cloud Unix administration, computer networking network security, server management, and cloud automation; Designing cloud architecture for optimized performance, reliability, scale, security and cost; Programming within a continuous delivery framework, utilizing Java, Terraform, Bash and Powershell; Migrating on-premises infrastructure to Cloud native, including upgrading monolithic applications to microservices; Building and managing RedHat/Amazon Linux AMIs, including operating system administration; Implementing Cloud automation tools, including Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Jenkins; Providing security remediation-related services and support to meet the latest compliance and organizational patch governance requirements; Utilizing R, Python (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy), and SAS for cloud-based data analytics, predictive modeling, and complex data interpretation; and Utilizing SQL, Tableau, and SAP BusinessObjects to develop and implement decision support systems and enhance data-driven decision-making in cloud environments.
