As part of the Home Mortgage Quality Control Department, the primary function of the Home Mortgage QAQC Sr Professional is to support senior QA QC managers, analysts and all business line partners including third party originators in the execution of Post Closing Quality Control audits.  

Primary responsibilities include

  • Cursory review of defects cited in ACES by the QC analysts to ensure accuracy of defect, rating, area of responsibility and root cause.
  • Reviewing business line responses to defects to determine resolution. 
  • Pulling reports at least on a weekly basis to provide updates to the business lines.
  • Provide support to senior managers, analysts and business partners.
  • Solves complex problems using multifaceted approach.
  • Update and maintain procedures and documentation.
  • Assist with projects as directed.
  • Remain updated and knowledgeable regarding all policy, guideline and regulatory changes.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • 7+ years underwriting experience with in-depth knowledge of manual underwriting guidelines
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of complex underwriting of high/ultra high net worth borrowers to include analysis of multiple businesses, large real estate portfolios and diverse asset portfolios.
  • Knowledge of FHA, VA and state agency guidelines required
  • Sound knowledge of consumer mortgage lending process and workflow through post-closing
  • Sound knowledge of secondary & private investor loan programs, including FHA, VA and USDA
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with solid organizational, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • PC skills including proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs including MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and database applications
  • Must be detailed oriented and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage change and take on new tasks as required
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision
  • Must be production oriented to meet department productivity goals and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high-level degree of confidentiality
  • Experience with ACES audit software is a plus.

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: 8:00 - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday

Role is hybrid, 3 days onsite/week.
