Sourcing Commodity Lead – Property and Real Estate Operations (Retail Network Transformation Projects)

Join Citizens Bank’s Strategic Sourcing team and help shape the future of our retail network. We’re transforming the sourcing experience to deliver faster, smarter, and more strategic value to the business. As a Sourcing Commodity Lead, you’ll play a critical role in driving cost savings, optimizing vendor relationships, and delivering impactful sourcing strategies for our Retail Network Transformation (RNT) projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Sourcing & Category Leadership
    • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Retail (RNT) projects, focusing on cost savings, service quality, and total cost of ownership.
    • Lead competitive bidding processes, bid analysis, vendor negotiations, and contract execution using an Agile contracting framework.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with business stakeholders to understand project needs, define specifications, and align sourcing strategies with business goals.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in Property and Real Estate Operations sourcing.
  • Contract & Vendor Management
    • Negotiate and redline contracts for a variety of corporate transactions.
    • Oversee all spend activity related to RNT projects and ensure compliance with procurement thresholds.
  • Market Intelligence & Innovation
    • Stay current on industry trends, supply base shifts, and economic factors to identify sourcing opportunities.
    • Recommend innovative solutions to complex sourcing challenges and drive continuous improvement.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making
    • Use analytical tools to identify cost-saving opportunities and track sourcing performance.
    • Prioritize initiatives based on business impact and strategic alignment.

What You Bring

  • Expertise in Property & Real Estate Operations, especially in Retail construction and transformation projects (design through delivery).
  • Strong contract negotiation and vendor management skills, including experience with managed services, SaaS, and cloud services.
  • Proficiency in strategic sourcing methodologies (e.g., 7-step sourcing process or equivalent).
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced project management and analytical skills, including root cause analysis and spend optimization.
  • Familiarity with Ariba, and advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; MBA preferred.

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday
