Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Senior Solution Engineer for its Johnston, RI location.

Duties: Supports enterprise data quality support requests. Conducts data quality checks, monitors and remediates data quality issues, collaborates with data platform owners across the Enterprise Data Organization and with data content owners. Determines root causes of data anomalies, create remediation plans, articulates technical aspects of quantitative data issues, recommends solutions, develops and maintains documentation to ensure compliance with data management policy. Supports EDQ Mailbox service requests. Gathers requirements to support data quality checks for data quality monitoring interactive dashboards. Serves as a subject matter expert when designing data quality solutions. Creates robust reporting and issue tracking. Proactively uncovers financial data issues and develops processes and procedures for data quality models. Embraces emerging technologies to leverage new capabilities as part of continuous improvement and efficiency returns.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field followed by five (5) years of progressive experience in the role or in a related position. Full term of experience must include: Writing complex SQL queries using various data sources, including AWS Redshift, DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Big Data Hadoop, Teradata, and Snowflakes to profile data, identify data anomalies and understand data patterns; Preparing complex data sets using database joins, self-joins, aggregate functions, rank functions, case statements, and stored procedures; Designing, developing, and maintaining ETL frameworks for Data Quality Business Rules using ETL tools including Ataccama, Datastage, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Informatica, and Talend to read and write data from sources, including Complex flat files, AWS S3, Redshift, Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, and big data files; Building and supporting data visualization reports and dashboards on data quality health from analytical models, using data visualization tools including Web Focus, Excel Power Pivot, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Tableau, and Power BI to show monthly and quarterly data quality scores, number of DQ rules built, and defects reported; Writing complex datasets on MDS (Master data Services) and profile data for data quality checks; Performing end to end DQ application testing and performance testing with large data volume to test scalability of applications; and Providing UAT support for business users, documenting DQ processes and procedures in the form of job aid documents.
