Description
As the Oversight Manager supporting the Operational Risk Management (ORM) team, you will support designing, enhancing, and managing credible challenge processes, procedures, and supporting documentation. The Oversight Manager will support the development of key reporting data sets to provide senior management updates on enterprise management of quality assurance, procedure management, and along with the development of key insights to the overall progress and outcomes of the oversight program. The candidate will collaborate across the non-financial risk management team and various risk and business line stakeholders to help solve risk issues and deliver projects.
Job Duties:
- Support the ongoing management and improvement of the ORM program, underlying procedures and supporting documentation requirements, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Manage our ORM office hours program which provides our team with content and insights in support of consistent delivery of our ORM program through peer education and new and upcoming risk processes to ensure oversight alignment.
- Manage all bi-monthly quality assurance activities (QA) including development of populations, validation of program elements, analysis of results and communication with ORM leadership.
- Develop active working relationships with risk management leaders across ORM and the larger risk organization.
- Support the development of oversight reporting in service to senior management as to updates and progress of the oversight program and delivery.
- Engage in the creation of reporting in conjunction with a variety of data teams to further automate insights as to the operational effectiveness of the business lines.
- Support selected ad-hoc activities and projects for the broader ORM team which may include record retention, capacity management, and risk reporting.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Strong experience and skill set with Excel and PowerPoint, and the creation of management level reporting to provide key insights, observations and decision points
- Ability to adapt to innovative technology and tools for integration to projects
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage and deliver on multiple priorities
- 3-5 years experience in banking and/or risk management experience in the financial services industry
- Understanding of banking products and operations; regulatory requirements; and key processes, controls, and exposure areas
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and comfort presenting on team calls
- Team player with a proven ability to work collaboratively on a small team
Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
- Risk Management or Internal Audit certifications preferred
Hours and Work Schedule:
- Hours per Week: 40
- Location: Boston MA, Westwood, MA, or Johnston RI
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 3 days in the office, 2 days work from home
