Description

As the Funding & Liquidity Manager, you will perform detailed analysis as it relates to supporting the development of funding and liquidity risk management strategies. This role will use knowledge of best practices to recommend solutions to optimize funding for Citizens, including management, measurement, and modeling of the firm’s liquidity position.

Primary responsibilities include

  • Assist the development of analysis and reporting of Citizens' balance sheet liquidity risk position, providing a clear explanation of key drivers for changes in risk profile to meet internal and external regulatory guidance, and support management's decision-making process.
  • Assist in the management of the daily funding process by composing and calculating projections, reviewing funding plans, as well as, understanding liquidity risk as it relates to risk appetite, balance sheet management, and impact assessments to changes in risk regulations.
  • Understand and recommend solutions to mitigate risks associated with cash and liquidity management processes by maintaining controls and assisting in development of risk management policies.
  • Assist in the support of incorporating liquidity planning into balance sheet and model assumptions for forecasting Citizens' balance sheet through modeling.
  • Managing relationships with relevant stakeholders and collaborate with colleagues within/across functions to support the execution of the business strategy and achievement of Citizens/division objectives.
  • Stay abreast of current and proposed regulatory guidance and industry best business practices as they relate to liquidity risk management.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • Required Qualifications
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus.
    • Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or a related area.
    • Proficiency with MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
    • Skills:
      • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Proficiency in financial modeling and market analysis.
      • Experience with financial software and liquidity management tools.
      • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
      • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Understanding of banking financial structures and markets.
    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to liquidity and funding.
    • Current knowledge of market trends and economic factors affecting liquidity.
    • Awareness of risk management practices and principles.

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote)
