As the FX Sales Producer, you are the central contact person for Foreign Exchange solutions to clients and a thought leader for the business; he/she quarterbacks the delivery and maintenance of Citizens’ Foreign Exchange risk management products and services through referrals from/to Relationship Managers and acts as a trusted advisor to our client’s executive management team. While in this trusted advisor role, your work revolves around relationship building, idea generation, strategic business discussions, risk management, credit structuring, industry/global financial market observations, and other matters of elevated importance. You will also helps develop, mentor and coach junior Sales Producers on the desk, and you also have the ability to influence the sales strategy and general direction of the business.

Primary responsibilities include

  • Manage a portfolio of relationships of varying size and complexity, and is also be responsible for active market coverage of prospective clients; this position shall be responsible for driving new client acquisition, generating new revenue (fees), and raising market awareness for Citizens.
  • Holds primary responsibility for the client relationship, including understanding the clients risk management strategy related to payments/risk management, and providing timely market updates and suitable/appropriate ideas that manage risk.
  • Liaise with sales support staff to provide seamless client coverage by training junior members of the team and assigning/delegating tasks as necessary, holding primary accountability for all relationships/transactions.
  • Engage with industry (i.e. Association of Financial Professionals) or local (Trade Associations/Chamber of Commerce) Centers of Influence which will allow the Sales Producer to identify prospects and promote Citizens' unique global network/capabilities/thought leadership.
  • Interact with the client in order to discuss and resolve risk related issues, and will help develop strategies and actions to resolve any issues that could increase client risk or create losses for Citizens.
  • Exhibit skill at negotiation techniques, be able to develop structured products/solutions, engage with syndications on multibank transactions, review and understand legal and credit documentation, have an understanding of hedge accounting, and demonstrate skill in the area of large exposure and complex risk management.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • Strong understanding of all FX product offerings to the Bank’s Corporate and Private Equity clients including (i) spot, (ii) forward, (iii) options, (iv) cross-currency swaps, and (v) foreign currency accounts. 
  • Expertise of the applicable credit and cash management/treasury.
  • Minimum 10+ years of successful FX sales across a variety of industries.
  • Strong ability to lead and mentor both junior level talent
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, build and retain client base

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40+
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
