Painter - 1st Shift

Description

The Painter role within Real Estate Operations will be responsible for painting the interior and exterior of buildings, structures, and other surfaces.

In this role you will respond to colleague and business requested work orders and have a routine schedule of work orders throughout Citizens portfolio within an assigned geography area of locations.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Painting interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, structures, and other items
  • Making on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
  • Preparing walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
  • Filling cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g., plaster)
  • Mixing paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture
  • Applying varnish and other finishes
  • Completing work order correctly with minimal call backs     
  • Communicating in a pleasant and professional manner with internal and external customers     
  • Maintaining inventory of supplies, tools and materials 
  • Responsibility for maintaining bank vehicle

Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of commercial painting experience
  • Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply
  • Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques
  • Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)
  • Conscientious with great attention to detail
  • Competent use of MS Office applications to include MS Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Good written and communications skills 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, and stairs
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Ability to work under pressure with efficiency and accuracy
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload

Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License required 

Hours and Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 7am - 3:30pm & voluntary OT when available
