We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Retail Banking Director to join our premier New York Metro market which also extends into New Jersey, Washington DC, and South Florida. This key senior leadership role will be responsible for driving sales and revenue, deposit growth, colleague leadership, customer engagement and retention. This role requires a strategic thinker with a growth mindset, exceptional influencing ability, and strong business acumen.  

Responsibilities

  • Key leader representing the market in town halls, community events, and sponsorships.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to enable achievement of strategic objectives by engaging in candid conversations to identify the best solutions.  Proactively anticipate business needs and recommend solutions. 
  • Coaching and developing Regional Leaders driving sales and exceptional customer experience.
  • Build strong leadership capability across the market by identifying & addressing leadership gaps/needs and delivering innovative approaches to strengthen the team.
  • Build and maintain trust and strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

Competencies

  • Leadership- Impactful at leading complex conversations, projects, and processes and developing strategies to drive successful execution.
  • 12-15 years’ senior leadership experience working within financial services preferably in Retail Banking, Wealth and/or Business Banking.
  • Strategic mindset with a drive to execute and get into the details when needed. Ability to develop long-term strategies aligned with the bank’s vision and adapt to changing financial landscape.
  • External perspectives – looking inside and outside to understand business trends to drive meaningful customer outcomes.
  • Future-Focused Capabilities: anticipating future work trends and preparing the workforce with skills like adaptability, resilience, and continuous learning to stay competitive.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. MBA preferred. 

The salary range for this position is $250,000- $300,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
