Description
The Physical Security Threat Intelligence Officer is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of threat intelligence strategies to protect the organization's physical assets, personnel, and operations. This role involves analyzing security threats, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and providing actionable intelligence to mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Threat Analysis: Conduct comprehensive threat assessments to identify potential risks to physical security. Analyze data from various sources to detect patterns and predict future threats.
- Intelligence Gathering: Collect and evaluate intelligence from multiple sources, including open-source information, internal reports, and external agencies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global security trends and threats.
- Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks. Collaborate with security teams to enhance physical security measures and protocols.
- Incident Response: Lead the response to security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Coordinate with law enforcement and other relevant agencies as needed.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and briefings for senior management on security threats and mitigation efforts. Provide recommendations for improving security posture.
- Training: Conduct training sessions for security personnel on threat intelligence and risk mitigation techniques. Ensure staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills to respond to security threats.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal departments, external partners, and government agencies to share intelligence and coordinate security efforts.
- Compliance: Ensure all security operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Stay informed about changes in security legislation and best practices.
- Emergency Notifications/Communications: Be well versed and able to send emergency notifications when/as needed or instructed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in security management, Criminal Justice, Intelligence Studies, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. Relevant experience will substitute for degree requirements.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in physical security, threat intelligence, or a related field. Proven track record in leading security operations and threat analysis.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in intelligence analysis tools and software.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or similar are highly desirable.
Work Environment:
- Physical Demands: May require working in high-stress environments during security incidents.
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 11AM-7PM Full-time position with occasional on-call duties as needed.
