Citizens Bank is seeking a Data Engineer that will assist in the creation of data sets to support Measurement activities across the Enterprise Data and Analytics Town. The Data Management Specialist will be responsible for working with partners in different areas of the bank to identify relevant data sets, build and deploy data products by designing, implementing, testing, and providing support once in production. This role includes working with business lines, marketing teams, and data scientists to understand their goals and identify necessary data requirements to develop the appropriate measurement of those goals. 

Essential Functions:

  • Identify, research and facilitate the creation of data sets that can be used in Tableau Measurement Dashboards as well as data science activities, requiring timely and efficient quality control skills
  • Link and Profile data from multiple sources while ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Work closely with Tableau Developers, Business Analysts, and Data Scientists to ensure that data sets provide all needed information in a consistent format
  • Create repeatable processes that allow the team to update datasets in an automated way.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience utilizing SQL at an enterprise level
  • Proven ability to understand, evaluate, and effectively communicate solutions to complex data issues
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and deploying data objects, beyond the ETL pipeline, that have been used in a production environment to drive business decisions
  • Scripting Experience (python, Linux shell) experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile and SCRUM is a preferred.
  • Experience working with retail banks is preferred.
  • Experience working with Tableau is preferred.
  • Experience with Eppo or a similar experimentation platform preffered

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance or a related field.
