Analyst Asset-Backed Securitization (ABS)

Description

Citizens Bank is seeking an Analyst level candidate to join the Asset-Backed Securitization (ABS) Portfolio Management team to support the Asset Backed Finance (ABF) group.  The ABF group is part of Citizens’ Capital Markets division.  The role will be based in Stamford, CT.

Primary responsibilities include

  • Assisting with the management and tracking of existing asset backed securitization loan (“ABSL”) transactions, including working with the ABS origination team, credit and operations
  • Timely communication of transaction activity and performance to key internal partners
  • Tracking, reviewing and analyzing monthly servicer reports; follow up on any late reports, errors, or other administrative issues; create and prepare monthly performance summaries for each transaction
  • Assisting in the preparation and presentation of the semi-annual business review, highlighting key trends, outlooks and risks across various industries and transactions
  • Monitoring facility utilization, draws and paydowns
  • Ensuring ABSLs are captured properly in Citizens’ systems and downstream reporting
  • Preparing and presenting concise credit approval memos for ABSL transactions in connection with annual reviews, renewals, amendments and waivers
  • Researching and organizing client and industry information
  • Participating in client diligence sessions, as appropriate
  • Reviewing and summarizing legal documents for ABSL transactions
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with credit and origination partners as well as related sector focused investment banking colleagues
  • Establishing relationships and working with external parties including clients, lawyers, and rating agencies 

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • 0-2 years; non-mortgage asset-back securitization experience is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; role requires collaborative approach among various internal teams
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data and information into a cohesive explanation to all internal constituents
  • Strong PC Proficiency, Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills required
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and satisfy deadlines
  • Bachelors degree required

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
