Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Principal Architect for its Johnston, RI location.

Duties: The Principal Architect will provide architectural mentorship and oversight at a Company Platform level, including its supporting Technical Platform. Works cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams, including business development, product management, software engineering, cyber-security and departmental executives to drive tangible results. Responsible for delivering roadmaps and strategic directions for business units. Contributes to, and reviews results of, RFPs and Options Analysis with a specific focus on strategic planning and architecture roadmaps. Presents designs and ideas to an Architecture Review Board (ARB) and to Technology and business senior management. Identifies and prescribes product standards, deployment patterns and reference architectures. Contributes to the Solution Approach and Solution Design deliverables.

Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field followed by eight (8) years of progressive experience in the role or in a related position. Full term of experience must include: Preparing application solution design and high-level architecture using Enterprise Architect tools, including Lucid Chart, Sparx, and Microsoft Visio; Developing cloud native applications to facilitate deployment of cloud infrastructure, including AWS EC2, Lambda, RDS SQL Server, Redis Cache, OpenShift Container Platform, Azure SQL Server, and Vnet; Designing secure applications using Ping Identity, Transmit Security, ThreatMetrix, Akamai NetStorage, NexusIQ, Fortify, and SonarQube; Implementing security standards and protocols including OWASP, SAML, oAuth2.0, Spring Security, and IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM); Developing and managing APIs using IBM API Connect, Data Power, and Swagger; Utilizing messaging technologies, including JMS, Kafka, AWS SQS, Rabbit MQ, and IBM MQ to build scalable and reliable messaging systems; Utilizing Microservice development and design patterns, NoSQL Databases, AWS Cloud, and CICD pipeline to architect new generation platforms and systems; Architecting cloud native applications using Domain Driven Design, Microservice design patterns, and 12 factor app methodologies; Building Event Driven Systems with event sourcing using KAFKA, Data/Activity Streams, Docker, and Kubernetes; Utilizing Spring Core, AOP, DAO, Boot, Batch, REST, Cloud Bus, Spring Boot Admin, and Spring Security to build robust and scalable enterprise applications; Developing microservices and RESTful APIs using Spring and Jersey, and employed technologies like MOXy, Jackson, Swagger, Layer7, APIGEE, Netflix Zuul, Hystrix, Resilient4j, and Apache Camel to enhance functionality and performance; Utilizing programming languages, including Java, J2EE, Swing, and Python; and Applying machine learning libraries, including TensorFlow, Matplotlib, Seaborn, scikit-learn, Keras, Pandas, NumPy, and XGBoost to develop data-driven applications and models.
