Citizens Private Bank has accelerated its strategy to build out Wealth Management, scale Business Banking, grow deposits, and expand in key growth markets. We are looking for talented individuals with a demonstrated track record of delivering a gold glove experience to clients that results in long-term client loyalty.

As a Private Banker you will have the opportunity to work in both sales and support. In this role you are the deposit expert for the Business Banker/Relationship Managers’ client base. The role encompasses sales presentations, cash management expertise, account opening, compliance and documentation, and ensuring a white glove experience when transitioning clients to Citizens. You will have the opportunity to assist Business Bankers/Relationship Managers in developing and maintaining client relationships by selling the full range of products and services and referring opportunities to business partners where needed. You’ll maintain a professional relationship to encourage additional business from existing clients use your excellent customer service skills and ingenuity to solve problems or enhance Citizens relationship.

Primary responsibilities include

  • Helping to “sell Citizens” with net new prospects.
  • Being the deposit and cash management experts (and cross-selling where needed).
  • Being the dedicated team responsible for day-to-day servicing and ensuring a white glove experience.
  • Delivering industry or vertical expertise.
  • Relationship management (in partnership with the RMs and BBs).
  • Maintain and deepen client relationships, increasing current products per client.
  • Refer clients to business partners where needed.
  • KYC of the client relationship and any updates (in partnership with RMs and BBs).
  • Obtaining documentation for initial onboarding, services, changes, and any exceptions.
  • Opening accounts and other services to ensure expedited delivery.
  • Provide a detailed analysis and comparison of current banking relationships.
  • Transition clients to Citizens, ensuring a smooth process.
  • Provide ongoing excellent customer service, including paying close attention to the top 10% of the Business Bankers’/Relationship Managers’ client base.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of existing Bank products and stay up to date on new products and services.
  • Adhere to and comply with the applicable federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.) as well as Bank policies and procedures.
  • Stay up to date on fraud tactics, watch for red flags, and escalate to our fraud partners when needed.
  • Identify and report suspicious activity to the Anti-Money Laundering Officer.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a professional financial services role

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • A commitment to be a collaborative team player
  • Knowledge of banking operations 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask

Hours & Work Schedule:

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 per year plus an opportunity to earn additional incentive earnings. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
