Principal Architect

Description

Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Principal Architect for its Johnston, RI location.

Duties: Develops architectural solutions, ensuring architecture decisions are implemented consistently to support business and IT strategies. Architects cloud-based technologies, including interface design and development, and systems development life cycle. Provides direction to stakeholders and leadership regarding architecture, design, and hands-on development. Lead the delivery of comprehensive IT transformation projects. Enables IT migration from in-house computing to cloud by driving architecture, design, and development. Drives the full software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, application configuration, design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations, and urgent issues. Assesses existing information systems and identifies gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities. Provides estimates for time and resources necessary for development work. Transforms business requirements into complete, detailed systems design documents. Supports the creation of interface specifications and data flows for various design components.

Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and five (5) years of experience in the role or in a related position. Full term of experience must include: Mainframe development and support using COBOL, JCL, DB2, REXX, and CICS; Utilizing CA7 scheduler and CONTROL-M Scheduler; Data warehouse development and maintenance using ABINITIO; Utilizing SQL, MongoDB, PostGresSQL, Splunk, JIRA, Node.js, Kibana, and Docker; System analysis and development including design, analytics, code, test, debug, document, and implement complex software applications with the focus on financial industry applications; and Adapting and socializing Agile Scrum and Kanban at the enterprise level.  Experience must also include: Designing and coding programs using core Java, J2EE, and Java spring MVN framework; Testing code using Selenium and Cucumber; Utilizing Amazon services, including S3, Lambda, EC2, Rds, Dynamo DB, Snowflake, and EMR; and Provisioning Amazon cloud infrastructure for production and non-production needs.
